Voice of Experience

Dinohra M. Munoz-Silva, M. D., Certified psychiatrist
Dahnhak is an enriching experience, irrespective
of age, physical ability or meditation experience. The results of this practice
are a sense of peace and harmony. As you proceed through the exercises, the limits
of your abilities will be expanded beyond your present imagination. |
Through Dahnhak Practice, you can discover a state of harmony with
others in an environment that supports acceptance, tolerance and patience. You
will uncover your strengths in your personal search for the truth. You will begin
to take responsibility for your actions with a willingness and desire to change
habits that are not useful. This form of exercise is gradual yet gentle.
Everyone in the program moves along at his/her own pace and level of comfort.
Among the practitioners there is no competition or rivalry; just a sense of unity
and a heartfelt responses. Julie Robbins (Vienna,
VA) Ever since I was 15 I had been looking for something
more out of life. I tried different organizations and different people. I read
books, magazines and literature on the Internet. Everything I tried would be OK
for a while, but inevitably I would realize that it didn't fit quite right. Then
I discovered Dahnhak. Through Dahnhak practice, I discovered a wonderful sense
of serenity within myself. It feels like everything that I have experienced has
been tied together into a perfect centralized thing instead of scattered pieces
of information. Bruce Karvich
(San Mateo , CA) Dahnhak was one of the most incredible
experiences I have ever had. The energy of classes is truly amazing. I know it
is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life. In an environment
that is loving, totally non judgmental and totally supportive we laugh, share,
play, meditate and learn. The masters are all wonderful and full of smiles and
laughter as usual. Everything in my life keeps getting better and better since
I started the Dahnhak. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to any one wishing
to better themselves. I will only tell you that it changed me profoundly.
I now understand more about the purpose of Dahn in the scheme of human evolution
as never before. I also have come to understand my own purpose and that of all
the inhabitants of this earth plane as never before. Sharon Duffy
(Glenview, IL) Attracted by a flyer that promised me
a better way to handle daily stress, I joined an exercise and meditation class
at a center in Glenview, Illinois. The Korean instructors there teach classes
which remind one of Tai-Chi or Yoga- they lead beginners through a series of simple
physical exercises and wind down a class with a period of peaceful and relaxing
meditation. For someone like me who is intimidated by the pretzel-like positions
that yoga requires and who has put off trying meditation because she simply did
not know how to go about it, this class was a revelation. Mory Konate
(London, United Kingdom) The weekend Dahnhak workshop
'Initial Awakening' has been transforming experiences. In term of knowing and
learning ways to create an awareness of my body, mind and spirit. With my new
tools, I know that I'm going to create a life of my own vision and wisdom and
share with others my experiences. I've found the combination of exercises and
meditation truly life transforming. Laurie Sucher
(Chicago, IL) The book Healing Society and the movement it represents,
called Dahnhak, have shaken me to my not-so-flexible toes, and set me down gently
on a path of beauty, joy, harmony and pure delight- more so than any of the many
popular movements toward holistic health that I've investigated in my more than
five decades of guarded research. I've never felt so consistently good:
balanced, lively, energized and just generally happy with my day to day life,
and full of the most delicious sense that there's more and better just down the
road. Gone is the dismal pack of annoying ailments and dysfunctional habits
I used to cart around: I'm light footed and free (plus, I'm losing weight!).
