Ki-Energy
Sensitivity Training : Ji-Gam Ji-Gam exercise
introduces the awareness of Ki-energy through direct experience. It is a meditative
exercise that develops the sixth sense so that practitioners can feel invisible
Ki-energy. With concentration and a willingness to discover another level of awareness,
Ki-energy is accessible through Ji-Gam. 'Ji-Gam' literally means quieting
the mind. We can quiet our mind by focusing on the subtle sensation of Ki-energy.
It allows practitioners to lower their brain waves below alpha level and be in
the state of transparent awareness, cleared of mixed emotions and troubling thoughts.
Let's
try to feel this Ki-energy !
Ji-Gam Exercise | |
Before
this training, make sure that you do some Meridian
Exercises to relax your body.
Ji-Gam
Exercise focuses on the hands because the hands are the most sensitive part of
the body. Hold your hands in front
of you in prayer position, with your palms facing each other. Do not allow them
to touch, but leave at least two inches between your hands. Concentrate on your
hands. Hands. Hands. Hands. Your concentration is like a ray of bright light.
Feel the light illuminate your hands. You will feel certain sensations in your
hands. There may be, warmth, a tingling sensation, or a sensation almost like
a magnetic force. | |
Now imagine that your hands are drifting apart. Concentrate on your hands with
a singular point of conscious light and will them to move apart. Now, will them
together again. Closer, you think. Closer. Closer. Closer. Soon, your hands will
drift back together.
Next try creating
a ball of energy with your mind. Imagine that you are holding a bright ball of
light in your hands. Feel the texture of this ball, its contours, and its perfectly
round shape. Make it grow and make it shrink. Play around with it gently, never
letting the sensation disappear. To
conclude this practice, take a few deep breaths. Breathe in deeply and breathe
out. | |
